KH, what is happening to the world? Given that virtually none of you understand any physics at all, I'm not surprised at the voting results.

One of the things that sets the philosophers apart is that they try to use logical systems to shed new light on philosophical issues.

I voted Banana. There's some I respect less, but none I respect most.

I find it laughable that history has as many votes as it does though. I'm a history major. I know that history is mostly a bullshit degree.

You can hate lawyers all you want, but it's asinine to believe that the legal profession is unnecessary.

Anyway, I voted physics.

Don't get me wrong, I love physics, but physicists seem to be stuck in the mud right now. At least, its the impression I have. Biology is where the action is Physics is meh. None of the really hyped work has visible applications. Not so in CS.

Anyway, I voted physics. A lawyer free society would be a society just as ****ed up, but without the unnecessary expenses of ambulance-chasing lawyers who sue everyone when their coffee is hot and when their coffee is cold.

Medicine is a cornerstone of civilisation that brings hope to billions. Mathematics is ****ing with numbers.

Physics is overrated, as well. How much taxpayer money is wasted so jagoffs like KH can search for the Higgs boson, element 114 or any number of other things that will offer little to no benefit to society if found?

I'll note the compsci students aced it, the philosophy students struggled. I particularly remember the philosophy student arguing with the prof, believing De Morgan's law was invalid... I have one of those once in while. Feel my pain.

If you learned nothing, its a badly designed course. If possible, they should probably tailor a logic course specifically for compsci students.

Out of the ones listed, the only ones which pose true intellectual challenges are mathematics, physics and compsci.

Maybe some parts of econ too.

The rest are basically just technical disciplines.
