gkahn threatened to ban me on gim1 once for calling pandas "asian shit."
I don't doubt that he said this, but I'm certain he said it in jest.

You could count on one hand all the bans gkahn was responsible for.

I always assumed it was durability but my .9999 maples feel just as durable as the junk silver.

Try rubbing them with your thumb and you'll find out the hard way that .9999 silver is not very durable at all. It will scratch a lot easier than 90% silver coinage will.

OK, I've done hardness testing on 2 samples:

1. .999 NWTM 1 oz Pan American round. Hardness = 19.5 Rockwell B

2. 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar. Hardness = 28.5 Rockwell B
