I was under the impression that hanging the flag upside down is done for "distress", in which case it isn't exactly descrecration, but indicating that country itself is in distress.

Well, I guess that's why it wasn't on the news, eh?

Of course, some could care less, some countries actually have people who dont supposrt their country.

If they were invaded, it would be a hoot if anyone who burned their own flag, ripped to shreds or soil it, were told, "you go to front lines, tell the agressors you dont support the country you call home. I woiuld imagine, your voice would fall of deaf ears, and you would be cannon fodder.

No, it's clearly the fault of the American Aggressor. They had to hold a protest to raise the Mexican flag, and then (not pictured) somebody took the Mexican flag down which desecrated it.

Serves America right for choosing a flag that looks different when flown upside down. Idiots...

The French flag looks the same whichever way.

Congratulations on figuring out the joke all on your own.

Therefore they can't use it to signal for help.

Much easier to surrender, apparently. Technically, you could orient the French flag so that the red and blue are reversed. Then you'd run into problems flying it without the little eyelets, plus probably nobody would notice, but still...

The upside down part doesn't really matter, it is the Mexican flag on top combined with it.

Part of becoming a citizen legally is wanting to be a citizen of America, not Mexico. America is not just a place to work. Legal immigrants understand this to some extent.

But you didn't proceed to the appropriate conclusion.

The Americans won't surrender in Iraq. They will declare victory and go home.
