Like last weekend she was at my work hanging out with me and one of my customers (messycan) pulled me aside and told me how beautiful he thought she was and asked me to get her number for him. ummm terbo...? why is the blinker going nuts? did you burn out a bulb mayhaps? No, he replaced the bulb. It doesnt seem to be getting enough voltage or something like that.... he works with electronics so hes pretty smart in that area... not sure exactly what the results were, we'll have to see what he says. I know Cavaliers pretty well, and sometimes on the rear turn signals, there is a jump in the circuit causing it to burn a bulb a week. All you have to do is just bend the tab on the replacement bulp so it holds tightly, and keeps constant connection.

It happens a lot on 00-02 cavaliers.

Again, sorry your thread about guys is getting so off topic, but it's a
thread in the off topic forum so I guess it's salright.

My cavalier has a problem with the front turn signal.
The signal indicator on the dash (the little arrow) lights up constantly
whenever the parking/headlights are on.
When I signal right, it blinks REAL fast, like the bulb is burnt out.
The bulb however, still lights up dimly. I've tried 3 different bulbs, and
tested each one for continuity and functionality. So it's not a bad bulb.
Testing the parking light wires shows that the + (brown) wire has a good
12 volts going to it when tested on a chassis ground, however when
tested to the negative parking light wire there's only a difference of 1.2
volts (hence the dim light). I can fix this by routing my own ground to
chassis, but when the signal is activated, there's too much current in the
circuit and it blows my test fuse (I test with a fuse so nothing on the car
gets harmed).
I've checked the signal relay and it's fine, after all it controls both sides
and only my right side is having a problem.

My guess is that the parking lights act similarly to the lock system on the
car (a standard gm 5 wire) where it's not simply a matter of 12 volts to
one side and ground to the other, but a variation in voltage to both wires
and that's why the 'negative' wire now has 10.8ish volts on it.

My theory:
Whatever part regulates the voltage on that bulb has failed and needs to
be replaced. No way to tell right now, to the stealership tomorrow to find
out!

kleen, belive me I'm in a similar situation..although, I WAS married. That..well..it didn't end so well. I've been single for just shy of a year..and it's killing me. While I have a prospect in line..she's bailing for Idaho for at least 6-7mo's which is even worse. Now, not only do I NOT get to attempt a relationship..I don't even get to see her. Let's look at it this way...you can be single and lonely sometimes, or married and miserable...but I'm biased, she left me for a guy with a '98 V6 Mustang.

Im also just putting this out there - Most of the HS girls i knew back in HS wanted a mustang JUST to have a mustang. They went nuts over this guy when he got a bone stock base model v6 stang.... Which pissed off the fastest guy in the whole school (me)

so, in short, a high percentage of people get them because they are "cool" and "fast", but really, they know shit about cars and dont care if its not fast because ITS A MUSTANG!!!! OMGLOLROFLBBQ!!!!

At least there are LOTS of 10 second Mustangs around. Hell, there's 3 up on the HWY almost every weekend. That never run anyone, so I really don't know why they even go up there, lol!!! And Greg, at least you can seperate Bob the asshole from Bob's an asshole because he drives a Mustang!! oh, well i was mostly referring to the Camaro part... but yeah.. LOL I know no 10 second civics, nor would i exactly respect one much... I like mustangs more than civics, but (and im just putting it out there) not every civic out there is trying to be cool, or fast. alot of them i see are genuine DD's. Im also just putting this out there - Most of the HS girls i knew back in HS wanted a mustang JUST to have a mustang. They went nuts over this guy when he got a bone stock base model v6 stang.... Which pissed off the fastest guy in the whole school (me) so, in short, a high percentage of people get them because they are "cool" and "fast", but really, they know shit about cars and dont care if its not fast because ITS A MUSTANG!!!!
