The Supreme Court there recently ruled that banning gay marriage is fine because the state has an interest in regulating procreation.

If the purpose of marriage is indeed procreation, then it is logical that all marriages should require it, and be dissolved if it does not in fact occur.
The conservatives have a choice: They can accept it (and thus pwn a lot of heterosexual couples) or they can reject it (and thus admit that their reasoning is flawed)
That is the entire point of this initiative.

I should note that we had this discussion on Eventis far before this, once again proving the general superiority of the Eventian people.
