Default OMG, we're all vampires!
That's a brilliant model for disproving the existence of zombies since, if they existed, we'd all be zombies.

A vampire, however, must mix its blood with yours to make you a vampire at the point of death. Therefore, vampire populations grow much more slowly.

I'm shocked that this important matter does not get more attention, instead people debating all kinds of irrelevant stuff in other threads, sometimes over several pages!

But then the first person to reply to the poll would have to go and start a new thread with the same poll.

Vampire gets angry.

Well, some lore claims people need to be virgins to become vampires. And vampire's bite doesn't necessarily kill. One can live a full life after being bitten, and only a future violent death causes the person to become vampire. Even then, by burying the person in question in certain manner, his rise is prevented, and he may rest in peace.

There are so many different kind of vampire lores, from history to contemporary pop-culture, that you really need to take into account, what kind of vampirism it is, that is being refuted.

Then there's porphyria...

what are you doing Saturday night?

then there is

Your fairy is called Bracken Reedfilter
She is a panpipe player and enchantment singer.
She lives where bracken and curling ferns grow.
She is only seen on midsummer's eve.
She dresses in leafy bracken-green. She has gentle green butterfly wings

I was hoping for suspenders and a bra

Stupid study, but it highlights popular media's often retarded killing rates. In a show like Buffy, with four or five randoms getting killed every episode plus vampires that were once humans, that gives that one town a murder rate of several hundred a year. Same with many soaps; Hollyoaks in the UK is pretty much a parody of a soap with about a dozen murders a year, but at least the girls are all hot.
