Running "chkdsk" is how you'd fix it. (It stands for check disk).
Go Start->Run Type "chkdsk C: /f" You then need to reboot and before Windows fully loads, it'll find and fix any and all problems. ----- To check which version of the driver you have installed, right click on your desktop and go to Properties. On the "Settings" tab, click "Advanced". Click the "Adapter" tab. Click the "Properties" button. Click the "Driver" tab. Look at the field called "Driver Version". If it's 9.1.3.1, it's the version that can corrupt the disk. |
