Default America is finished and doesn't even know it yet #2
Mobius, all you do is whine about things not of your concern. Why would anyone bother to read a link of yours?

You offer no suggestion on anything. Only complaints. I fire people like that many times.

Sloww makes some good points MOBIUS.

Everyone knows the problem. What's the solution? Bush is just one man... just one administration. The US needs real change. IF YOU AREN'T PART OF THE SOLUTION, YOU ARE PART OF THE ****ING PROBLEM!

MOBIUS is too useless to be part of the problem. He's just a mildly irritating troll.

I'm okay then... because I'm more than mildly irritating.

So that means 25% of the population are ****wits (people like Sloww), and at least 50% of the pop are lazy ****ers who couldn't be arsed voting him out - worse than ****wits in my book!

Besides that is just a sad indictment on the state of politics in your country...

Or a frank admission that again the rot endemic in your country is not restricted to one man. So basically you're shooting down your own initial argument!

Perhaps you didn't understand my initial argument, MOBIUS.

It was that Bush is one man, the problem is more than just him. He goes, another takes his place. Business as usual.

Surely not - in the 'Land of Democracy'TM!!?

That always makes me laugh - a 'democracy' of only two parties...

Anyway, apparently Noam Chomsky agrees with me I would consider this to be an indictment rather than support for a theory I held.

Every empire will crumble upon its own weight...

We are witnessing the Fall of America... How far it will fall, we don't know...

and the Rise of Asia... How high it will reach, we don't know...

Vince, it is technology that changes us.

It took America 100 years to reach its height.

Westerners have cutting edge technology and cutting edge culture. Asians have cutting edge technology, but lack cutting edge culture. But then again, it may not need cutting edge culture to reach superiority.

Yeah, it's a scary mix.

It's like giving millions of apes, axes and swords and teaching them how to use it.

America's main problem is its corroded and faintly ludicrous political culture. And the Democrats seem content to sit by and fluke a victory on the basis of Republican incompetance, rather than trying to change the political landscape.

do I have to read this thread?

no country can stay on top forever. And aren't the Brits still claiming they are a legit power?

We'll be just fine... for now.
