In the winter, when our porch was covered with snow someone knocked at the door three times. It was really loud and in the early afternoon, so I jumped up and ran to the door. I looked outside and nobody was there. I opened the door, and there were no footprints in the snow on the porch. There is no way to get to the doorbell without stepping onto the porch.

So then tonight, it's 10pm. I hear a very loud knock on the door four times. Nobody answers the door of course, but after a few minutes we turned the outside light on and nobody was there. There were no other sounds, and no evidence of anyone there. At least not that we could see. In addition, this afternoon a call came to the house from an unknown source (according to caller ID) who said nothing, but just listened. No sound came from the other end.

Any thoughts?
