Default St Brigid's feast day (February 1)
As St. Brigid is my patron saint, I wanted to wish everyone a blessed day!

I have shared a little house-blessing that is commonly associated with St. Brigid on my blog: The Daily Weaving

Happy nameday dear Amy!!!

I assume you have read the life of Saint Brigid. But here it is again, in her and your honor. I love saint Brigid and I laugh while reading about her generosity when she was still a child. So cute!!! And such a wonderful example for children (if we read the life of this precious saint to them).

Thank you , lovely people, for your well wishes

Nina, I appreciate the link to the thread, as I had not read it before. My priest was just here blessing our home today and told me he had been to the place in Ireland where St. Brigid is buried, near Kildare. Someday I'll go on pilgrimage to Ireland and Iona =-)
