It seems that there were signs of life on Mars, so why wouldn't there be life elsewhere? Now would there be human life? Probably not. However, I do believe the existence of life on another planet is almost a guarantee. Will we ever meet them in our lifetime? Highly doubt it.
elevate7 - for denying the existence of life on other planets, your house will be blown up by a Namekian. Good day sir.... |

There cannot be humans on another planet. The exact coincidences that occurred here to allow the formation of humans were a one in an infinite amount of possibilities. However, life most likely exists outside of the planet. Most of it is probably single cellular, and hasn't reached a point where evolution into a larger organism is possible. However, there is probably at least one other planet (or other celestial body) with intelligent life.

no, it dosent really make any sence. life cant exist on other planets It's very, very possible that life could have in the past existed on Europa (moon of jupiter) and could again. |

Life, single celled, or evolved. It's almost insulting to say it doesn't exist. we have found single cell bacteria on planets (Can't remember which ones but they are there) And those are just the ones we can reach. Our universe is an ever expanding mass, bigger than anyone can ever imagine or picture. Somewhere, maybe multiple places, like events that brought life here, could do the same, given the right circumstances, and enough time, life is achievable. Human? Oh hell no, but something, even just a plant. Plants are nice.

I'm a firm believer in life on other planets, can't remember how many to exact but there are apparently many earth like planets which are habitable. In theory humans could live on them if the conditions are right, but what are the chances of the lifeforms if any on these planets will take a similar course to ours and produce humans? Remember that conditions are going to differ and we've simply evolved to adapt to our living conditions. I'm not saying there couldn't be something similar, as I'm always open to possibility, but humans as we know them? I doubt it.

Maybe not all life forms are mostly carbon based... Anyway, humans on other planets? Highly unlikely. Although, there are still some who believe the whole "Earth was seeded with life by aliens" so you never know. |

Life could be based around silicon, or even germanium if we get really technical. Also, we have already found organisms that can use arsenic as a means to live on Earth, a planet where almost all of it's organisms find arsenic extremely toxic. |
