Default Trying to get my wifi router to work
Hey YF, okay listen.

I got a wifi router from my internet provider (at&t ... don't remind me how bad they suck, its the only thing I can get) Anywho, ive been using a wired router to connect via ethernet cable on my laptop. But recently I got a wifi router, and I can't seem to get it to work.

Its a netgear gadsl router, and unfortunately I only have this one laptop, and no other computers in my house, so I got creative and a friend told me to try connecting it through my Xbox, and I should have wifi. Thats all well and good, but whenever I click to connect to it, it connects, however nit pops up saying " additional information required" And when i click, i go to the att site, and have to go through it all. I get to member login ( mom did this al, so i have no idea what the login info is).

Except for that, can anyone tell me how to get this damn thing to work?

1. Provide model numbers.
2. Make sure 360 has the proper WiFi adapter, or is the newer model with a WiFi adapter built-in. You should be able to see this in your system's settings.

Honestly, it sounds like you're trying to connect to a wireless modem: please verify with the actual device's model and make.

access is probably either
admin
administrator

pretty sure you can also lookup the default passwords for routers by model.
