Supposedly early today the US military experienced the largest coordinated assault since the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tet_Offensive"]Tet Offensive[/ame] back in the Vietnam War.

Today in Afghanistan 11 of the US military's [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forward_operating_base"]Forward Operating Bases[/ame] were attacked within 5 minutes. Normally when a FOB is attacked they call for air support and thats that, but in this case they did not have enough air support to handle all the calls. 4 FOBs were lost.

This has not yet been announced on the news. a FOB can be manned from anywhere from 50 to 500 people; as many as it takes to hold a location. It has not been announced how many have dies or how many if any have been captured.

when the tet offensive happened public support for the vietnam war was at a low.

it seems to me now that most people realize that afghanistan is where we should be fighting and that iraq was a reg herring. i feel that this offensive coming right now will have the same effect that 9/11 had, that it will solidify public support behind the military operations and prove that the afghan terrorists really are the thread we need to focus on.

and that obama needs to tell pakistan that they are either with us or againast us. i dont think we will allow that invisible boarder to remain unguarded by the pakistani.

We shouldn't be where we shouldn't be end of ****ing story. Afghanistan has a god damned government and military, same with Iraq. USA should gtfo we can always drop bombs and fire missles if insurgencies take over. IF lets not forget these people are really good at killing one another. Enough is enough the US should no longer continue support of W's foreign policy.

I'm sorry our soldiers are getting killed for a cause we have no business fighting for.

Tbh i really think obama should just pull out. But i dont believe its gonna happen. He seems a little too willing to "moderate" the situations of the ME.

But whatever, the president is the president, he holds power, all i can do is watch
