Last February we (la Señora & I) spent some time in the DR, rented a car for the month and did a little sight seeing, made it all the way to Samaná and a few points in between. The first ten days were spent doing the family reunion thing so we were very busy nite and day. In this time period our daughter came down from NY and we went to Bayahibe for some beach time and general zoning out.

After that we headed out for Samaná via the Cibao/PoP and I sort of hit a preverbal pothole (on the road of life) and things for me went down hill. A little lunch on the Malicon in PoP and I end up with _ - Ciguatera - _, needless to say I was (expletives deleted) and our plans changed somewhat. To make a longer story short, I just wasn't able to make good on any of the planed meetings with some of the DR1 folks. Sorry. I'll not eat any dOG DAMn fish next time and that's a promise. So we'll do a non fish lunch when we are in town next . . .
