So let me get this straight it's ok to have open relations with China, the largest communist contry, offer them free trade agreements, but US citizens can't travel to Cuba and businesses can't do any business in Cuba because it supports comunism?? Where is the rationality behind that policy? My thoughts EXACTLY. Pander to the the communist dictator with one of the world's largest economies, largest militaries, and nuclear weaponry...and try to stomp out the dictator of a small island nation 60 miles from your shores because he is "oppressing" his people... Let's all not travel to Cuba, in the interest of freeing them from oppression. Actually, I heard that Fidel has amassed a stockpile of WMD's and the civilized/first world nations really ought to just go kill him and his family in a "shock and awe" display of force that will make the Cubans realize who their friends are. After their infrastructure is destroyed by the most modern of weaponry, the world could be asked to pay to rebuild it. Sound good? No? Alright, let's go do it anyways... m |
