Do you still see Kiteboarders out there. I am planning to go to Punta Cana in November. (can not convince my wife for Cabarete again). Anybody knows the spot where kiteborders lunch in Punta Cana area? ( if they do at all on the east coast)

If there is any wind in Punta Cana, it is very light. But, keep in mind that Punta Cana is popular for the AI resorts because of the lack of wind. If there is wind, you basically launch where there are the least amount of people. sometimes the wind is better in Bavaro.

I have kited there but I am 130lbs and was on a 16.5 Gaastra GXR. The wind came up just enough to ride upwind after 4p because a front was passing. It was pretty boring!

Default KiteSurfing in Punta Cana
Hi,

Just a very quick question...

I'll be over in Punta Cana between 20-30th of Jan 2002.

Is Kite Surfing permitted on this part of the coast ?

Thanks for all your comments.
