Hi.
Brian, I hope this off music topic post is ok, if not I'll understand if it gets removed and apologize for the inconvenience ![]() I have to move back to the Coast , planning to arrive at the end of March for April. I need repeated local access to medical specialists and surgeons folks due to advanced RA issues (not available here) etc plus need all the benefits of friends plus other resources I need access to, so I gotta move back there asap. I'm also in the process of trying to get self employment in the works and off the ground and the Coast is loaded with resourses and opportunities ... trouble is ... finding housing, and housing I can afford. I see housing has gone through the roof and currently I'm paying $470 and that hurts. I may end up having to find storage for my belongings (just securely taped boxes, no furniture) while taking temp living situations while looking for permanant housing. No matter what, I will definately be arriving end of March. I could arrange sooner of a place needs to be jumped on ![]() Does anyone have any bright ideas or leads on places or storage, possible living arrangements short or long term etc etc etc? Any leads or feedback is majorly appreciated. Feel free to PM me, or PM me for my email address or phone number if you would like. BTW I will be having my name on housing and co-op housings lists, including disabled access as well. Would love to secure getting into a co-op (rent geared to income etc) Thanks to any and all for anything at all ![]() Old Classical Joint Waitress, Carman, and friend of jazz music makers and jazz itself ![]() |

Last I heard, there was a Joint Reunion being planned for next fall although I don't have many more details about it than that. In the interim though, Rudy Petschauer is going to be in town playing at the Cellar in January ... N
BTW, when did the Joint first open anyway? I first went there when I was in Vancouver for a few months in the summer of 1971 and was amazed to see that it was still there when I returned for good in 1979! N. |

I should mention that Master Walker was not my ONLY best customer. MANY regulars tied for top place. He wasn't lonely at the top
![]() I think while this conversation is already happening, rather than start a new thread, I want to wish you all a Very Happy 2010. Good health, good fortune, and prosperity wishes go out to each and every one of you, especially for you music makers who give so much pleasure to people with your music, adding nothing but good will and feelings, and inspiring those feelings in your audiences, in a language we're all moved the same by .... your MUSIC! Thank you all for that good stuff of life ![]() Dark Coffee |
