Parkview Services is proud to announce the inaugural Seattle Bayou Festival in support of our compelling programs. Parkview Services is a 40-year old non-profit 501(c)(3) which provides housing and housing assistance to low-income individuals and families with disabilities (full information on Parkview Services below) BayouFest, the first of two new large fundraising events for Parkview, will be a New Orleans / Delta and southern culture flavored all day festival with music from some of the biggest jazz, blues, funk, and folk music names today including the David Grisman Quintet, The Chris Thomas King Band, and The Wild Magnolias. It will also feature the Voodoo Beer and Wine Garden with over 80 selections to choose from. BayouFest will introduce the annual Cajun Cook-off which will feature competitors from restaurants, neighborhoods, families, and other collaborations from all around the country. Already we have seen several entrants from as far away as New Orleans stepping up for prizes and the prestige of winning in either BBQ or Chef’s Choice Cajun Dish categories. Parkview Services is striving to set an example of environmentalism and sustainability through BayouFest. From our solar-powered stages and biodegradable materials to discounts for ride-sharing and biking/walking, BayouFest is doing all that it can to promote a great time for a great fundraising event that everyone can be proud to be a part of. So come out, bring your dancing shoes and appetite, and enjoy a beautiful summer day and show your support of a great cause!
