I agree with Libertytree. Too much importance is placed on the lives and deaths of entertainers.
Celebrity worship is one of the main pillars that hold up this society of "fake".

Take away people's willingness to raise otherwise ordinary people to the level of demigod, and the whole thing comes crashing down.

I typed a big long winded post and the damn site threw me off,

Anyhow for me music plays a big part in my life,

I have always associated a song with a time, or place in my life..... so when I hear a song, I have a past memory attached to it, and yep it makes me sad that that a certain artist whoever it may be, has died, Because I recall that old memory good or bad that was attached to the song, and makes me look back and remember what, who, or where I was in my life at the time.

Does that make sense?

Yes it does. You are an awesome person. If I ever take up cloning, I'm cloning you, because we need more women like you.

Music is a great part of our culture and great songs and voices live forever.

Unlike so called sports hero's that are quickly forgotten...except for the one's that blew all their money and are still shamlessly hawking goods in their old age for the corporations.
Here's a pathetic example of a football great Terry Bradshaw

it's a shame when you reach the point of being worth more dead than alive but when you make a deal with that guy stuff happens.

Nice to see a sensative side from you GoD.

I don't mourn the death of any star, and I was never a Whitney fan, however she is/was respectable because she was not a brainwashing tool (that I am aware of) and her songs mostly were written about the power of love, according to my wife.

I understand how and why people jump on the bandwagon when media stars die, but to me the whole Michael Jackson thing was retarded. My mother, sister, sister in law, etc who never even listened to Michael Jackson, went on and on about how he contributed to the world in so many ways, etc etc.

I could have puked. I set them all straight and reminded them about camp peter pan or whatever the hell he called it.
Pedo freak of un-nature.

I remember when she hit it big in the 80's, and when her first hit single hit the radio waves.

Happy times back then.

RIP.

I have no proof, but I am going to say that she was murdered and it had something to do with Madonna/the superbowl.

Why did Whitney snort Splenda?

She thought it was diet Coke!
