Default Florida is awesome!
Down in Key West, FL for two weeks. [God, my job sucks]

I love it here, great weather, lots of boobies to look at. The only thing is that there are LOTS of homosexuals here.

I don't want to go home....

Sounds great... but having lived there I have to say... crappy tasting water... too many gays ... too many really old people... but this is changing and latinos seem to be forcing them out... Hurricanes... nuf sed... disneyworld... ugh! But to visit its a great time especially down in the Keys! Sorry to poop in the thread a little... but I dont care for florida as a place to live.

plus there are shipwrecks ... highly picked over shipwrecks, but shipwrecks nonetheless.

i wonder if beachcombers ever find coins from the shipwrecks.

Glad you're having a great time styer!

I still love Florida. Love hot weather where ever I am.
I lived in Fl for a Year and a half. I had a great time and met many good people.
I would have stayed if I could have made the money like I could in California.
Florida has a lot of great things to do, great fishing, the best beach bars in the country...I like drinking on the beach while listening to live music. Entertainment, festivals, clubs, outdoor markets, plenty of eye candy too...the list goes on.
There's only so many good places left in the country to live IMO.
I'm partial to California, Arizona and Florida.

I wonder where others feel are the best places to live?
Post them (cities and state)

Yes, on the Atlantic side after severe storms people with metal detectors converge like locusts as they search for pieces of eight.

The west half is a bit better than the east half, when comparing two turds.

North Fl and the panhandle are different than the Southern half - more Old South, country, forested, etc. Spring-fed rivers, cattle ranches, horse country near Ocala. Good beaches along the panhandle.

Still too damn hot most of the time, but the winters are tolerable. From Orlando south it's too commercialized and too crowded, IMO.
