A frequency sweep generater connected to a linear amp and aimed with a helical antenna will incapacitate the drone.
Just need to find the frequency first and overpower the receiver with the linear amp. The helical antenna points the concentrated frequency at a very long distance.
Helical antenna's have been tested at a 1 Mile distance with the output of a simple D-Link WIFI that normally doesnt go but about 300 ft.
How big would a tool of this sort be? I ask because if we were in this situation, I imagine there would be some sort of technology available to the bad guys to spot such a device.

This is why I mentioned bolas way back in August

A frequency generater is the biggest of all, about the size of an oscilliscope. The linear amp can be any car amplifier with a good amount of power. I beleive these remote control frequencies are well within the amplifier ranges to reproduce. Last I checked any way.
The antenna is about 3" in diameter and about 1 1/2 feet long weighing about 4 lbs.
You can make the antenna real easy.

If you knew the frequency the drone is using you can hook up any remote control unit directly to amplifier and then to the helix and over power the other signal and control it using your signal.

The sad thing is people still really believe that this keeps us safe.

Fuck my head hurts.

Sounds like a method that might just work.

OT. The one thing I've noticed a lot in the media these days is the use of the word "Narrative". This is a key word. Some groups of people don't feel that FACTS have any relevancy to anything. What matters is the narrative. The narrative drives the belief system and beliefs are what matters, not FACTS. I raised it because the linked article mentions it.

listening to some guys talking about RC helicopters today. One of them was saying how they use laptops to control their RC's. Some of them you can pre program your flight paths and the PC directs the RC unit to follow the flight path. One of them mentioned the name of a software to do this but I can't recall the name and cannot find anything on the net.

I did find this though.

All about having live video feeds from your RC aircraft, how to track the aircraft with directional antennas to get the best video signal and some other stuff.

Interesting.

Unlike Afghanistan we have Radio Shacks on practically every corner. That piece of shit won't stay up very long once someone reverse engineers it and figures out how to take control.
Try L-Band. roughly 1 GHz to 2 GHz.

THey already get hacked over seas all the time. Drones go down on a regular basis and thats through secure satalites. These things are using short wave radio, which is even easier.

100ft firing range on the taser isnt that far. That is WELL inside skeet distance.
