I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that other celebs/prominent people will voice their positive opinion of Ron Paul, even damning the consequences, knowing full well there's more benefit than harm.

Sales double again hours later.

http://money.cnn.com/2011/12/30/news...kson_ron_paul/
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- A word of advice to prospective American Idol contestants: vote libertarian.

One day after she announced her support for Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul on Twitter, sales of pop singer Kelly Clarkson's most recent album were surging Friday on Amazon.com.

Sales of Clarkson's album Stronger shot up 442% between Thursday and Friday afternoon on Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500), moving the album from #38 to #7 on Amazon's sales list.

While there's no way to tell whether her support for Paul was the only reason for this jump, the endorsement clearly made a difference for some fans.

"I must admit I have not really followed you but your recent stance on Ron Paul made me check you out," one fan wrote Friday in a review of the album on Amazon. "If you are smart enough to support Ron Paul then you are probably talented too."

"JUST DISCOVERED YOU...BECAUSE OF RON PAUL!" another wrote. "The energy of these songs would be great as Ron Paul event background music."...

IDK Gonzo, I think this would be an isolated case and not the norm. What it does show others is to not be afraid to speak their mind and stand by their convictions, that the consequences don't have to be negative but transversely can be very rewarding. At least she's not a pussy, that's more than I can say for a lot of them.

If she anticipated that a Ron Paul endorsement, of all things, would boost her sales, then she's a freakin' genius!

While I agree that she could have left the part out about him likely not being nominated, I think it was really cool of her to speak her mind against the established liberal-entertainment-groupthink.

Right on, Kelly! Enjoy that boost in sales, baby!

Happy New Year Everyone!

The Speech starts at 2:45:
Kelly Clarkson fires her guitarist on stage

http://www.mjsbigblog.com/kelly-clar...e-on-stage.htm
This is OLD. It’s from Kelly Clarkson’s 2005 Breakway tour, but it’s worth posting because it illustrates what a mother f*cking badass Kelly is when she has to be. I love Kelly, so very very much.

Her guitarist, Dwayne, does something to piss her off and she fires him right on stage, in a most amusing way. The video is poor quality, but the action is easy to follow along, thanks to the helpful annotations added by the videographer.

That was my question. I said it before, and I'll say it again:

Kelly Clarkson is THEIR creation, and a social engineering weapon in THEIR arsenal, not ours. Whatever she does, she does according to THEIR direction, They made her, and they can unmake her, and she knows it.

Are you saying the elections were rigged?
Even if they were, they can't admit it without unmaking the whole show too! She can call their bluff!

Clarkson auditioned for the first season of American Idol in May 2002. She subsequently won the competition on September 4, 2002, earning 58% of the vote to 42% for runner-up Justin Guarini.

Nice headline: Examiner; Kelly Clarkson Musicbomb has 3 albums rising on Amazon!

entertainment/Kelly+Clarkson+queen+breakup+anthem+speaks+mind
"I think my music, they're often anthems and they're often feisty, so people would normally relate that to relation-ships," she says. "It's just funny to me, personally, because a lot of the songs, even on this record ... like, those songs for me are about more than just a relationship with a guy. They're about struggle, just with my life in the industry."

...And in general terms, Clark-son says that being in control of her musical vision has been an ongoing battle. "Honestly, the hardest part in this business, for me, is just to be me.
