An even more novel concept that very few (nobody?) realize is that you can take a cart from the cart area outside, and push it in with you.

Voila, a closed loop system. I've actually had people give me strange looks for doing this.
Won't do that. That is taking another job from someone.

Or do what Aldi does: locks on the carts, and it takes 25 cents to unlock it. If you return the cart & relock it, you get your quarter back. I try & find someone about to go in & just hand off the cart to them if possible.
Beat me to it, I was about to post the same thing. Except we didn't have Aldi's, we had Bigg's, but they had the carts with the 25 cent lock on it. Even though a quarter isn't worth much people don't want to lose their money so they'll return their carts to get their coin back.

I see things like that, and think there doesn't need to be a job for it.

As mentioned earlier, all you have to do is put locks, and charge people a quarter to unlock the cart to get their coin back, and the loop gets closed by making people do what should come naturally.

The reason people leave carts all over the parking lot is because they know someone will come out and collect them all.

This example is a lot like the effect of what big gov does. Create a job, it raises customer prices, and carts get left all over the place in a mess.

Make people take a modicum of responsibility (25 cents but really it's free), and everything takes care of itself.

Ok I'll shoot, how about those assholes who merge onto the highway going slower than the speed of traffic. They speed everywhere else, but get on the highway going 10 -15 mph under the limit.

VERY annoying! How about people driving very slow and obviously dialing or texting while you're stuck behind them. Put the phone down and drive!

My God... I was stuck behind one of those the other day. I'm going 60/55 and notice I'm coming up on this car pretty fast, brake (I hate braking on the highway). Keep in mind it's raining a bit and traffic is medium volume. I can't get over and play it cool, this person is doing 40. Finally get to pass and see that it's a woman texting. All of my rage.

As you can see I have a lot of driving related pet peeves.

I'll throw in another one. People who cut out in front of you from a side street or such, and force you to brake semi-hard when no one is behind you. Added points when they turn into a McDonalds a couple blocks away.

I do too but it's because the rudeness factor is SO high. People are just so annoying. We seriously need a G-SUS island.

That is very annoying as well as dangerous to other drivers on the road. I cannot understand why people have to text while driving. I do not get that. That text message cannot be that important.

I look at cars as 2 ton moving death contraptions, the way people use them is asinine. I've always found it funny to think "what if people walked the way that they drove?" That happens though in places called supermarkets.

That is going to take a lot of oz's of silver to build a GSUS island. That would mean that everybody (except me) in the GSUS community would have to pool together their oz's of silver to create GSUS island.

Well, the plan devised while you were away was that you'd donate your bars for the security walls!

Yeah I do not like braking on the highway either. Stop and go is supposed to be for city driving not for interstate driving. At least that is what I thought.

Nope. Not possible. My silver art bars will not be strong enough to withstand the evil gov't winds and the poisonous fiat gases that would try to invade and sink our GSUS island. I think that 10-oz gold bars would work much better as security walls to withstand those evil gov't winds and the poisonous fiat gases. However, I do not have any 10-oz gold bars since I am a poor man and someone else with very deep pockets would have to provide those gold bars for the security walls of the GSUS island.

*1st of all thanks GSus for confirming I have not lost sanity yet. The wife and I had a good argument (possibly for the last time outside the home of course. These are the main reasons that also occurred while we were shopping together in just two days all of the above occurred. Her and I are complete opposites (opposites attract thing) and her argument is that I'm always negative, I beg to differ....

I think it's something else - they are oblivious to the world around them, which is one of my pet peeves.
Yes, sadly so and incredibly ridiculous... this was the only way I could close my argument w/the wife, but still she was not happy w/me.
An even more novel concept that very few (nobody?) realize is that you can take a cart from the cart area outside, and push it in with you.
Voila, a closed loop system. I've actually had people give me strange looks for doing this.
When I was a cart/lot attendant back in mid 90's I remembered many folks were courteous enough to carry one into the store for their shopping, now everything has to be handed to them in a silver platter b/c they're too good for this & that.
Ok I'll shoot, how about those assholes who merge onto the highway going slower than the speed of traffic. They speed everywhere else, but get on the highway going 10 -15 mph under the limit.
Yes, annoying shits, or the ones that are traveling almost the same 55-60 miles as the guy in front of them, but decide to merge to the passing lane in which you and 10 others are trying to pass about 70mph and these F#$@$ decide to cut into it going only half a mph faster than the slow lane! Where I live in hellpaso, they love this sh!T, once I passed someone on the shoulder, unfortunately a sheriff coming from the on ramp saw this and chased me down. He was cool about it telling me not to try such risky maneuvers again(although I also see slow drivers as hazards as well) a city cop would not have been so easy going that's for sure. I sometimes also give the bird, folks have the astonished look as to WHY,what did I do? Just goes to prove how oblivious they are about everything, if they're elderly I understand, but no these are 30-50yr olds at most!

My ex banned me from shopping with her because I get rude to shoppers that think they are more important or their time is more valuable then anyone else.
If you find a cart unattended sitting in the middle of the aisle so you can't get past, don't get mad, be thoughtful of the poor cart owner, they are probably having a really hard day at shopping and could use a little help so just grab a few items off the shelf and fill their cart, they probably had 16 boxes of mac and cheese on their list and you just saved them time.
If you find someone has parked using up two parking spaces, don't get mad, the car owner obviously takes pride in their vehicle and didn't want someone to dent it with a thoughtless door swing, help them out and grab a couple carts from the cart return area and lay them over on their side next to the vehicle, this will help protect it from thoughtless people trying to squeeze their car into that space and scratching their car, when the car owner returns they will move them all the while thinking gee what a wonderful idea, I will have to remember that trick.

If you find yourself in the express lane that has a 11 item limit and the person in front of you obviously has 20 items, don't get mad, they probably failed at math so offer to give them a math lesson by counting their items for them, be sure to count really loud because people learn math much easier if you count really really loud.
Excellent tips, cobalt I shall try these by myself, as I too am banned from shopping w/my significant other

But they're all important Dr's & surgeons on call didn't you know?
This happened today but at a grocery store parking lot. THis B seemed to begin backing out when I also was backing out to go on my way back home, so I see she started just before I did , so I waited for her to reverse. And I waited...and waited for about 20secs like a dumbass until I lost patience(hey 20 secs is more than enough Fck it) Now as i start to backup the B decides to do so as well and sees me & brakes suddenly although our cars were a good 6-7ft from touching, she gives me this wtf surprised look and then I realize from a better angle now, that the dumb B was distracted by a text she was trying to send as she resumed after I proceeded about my way.
What about the assholes that slow waaayyy down crossing a crosswalk, to back up traffic. Those pricks, do that just for power reasons. You can see them, they walk normally on the sidewalk when they get there.
This was the other part of the argument the wife & I had. After the grocery store shopping we did, a woman in her late40's-50's was crossing the crosswalk but at an angle. The longest F---ing angle possible, it may have started at a 45 deg but casually converted into about 10 degrees to where it followed the car path on the street where CARS are supposed to DRIVE through. This pissed me off, so I gave this woman some space about 5ft behind her to see if she would care to notice that she is holding me up, but it either didn't phaze her or she doesn't use the peripheral vision off the corner of her eyes. I tried to explain to my wife this is the only way ppl can learn is to be corrected, needless to say I never heard the end of the "I didn't know I was going to marry a jerk" speech. I didn't know I was going to marry someone from the sheep family either.[/I]
...How about people who leave their shopping cart blocking the middle of the aisle? And get annoyed when you ask them to move it.
Ahh yes, this one I admit I had enough of & was ready for confrontation. So at one point I see I need to get to the other side of the isle & no more mr.nice guy I proceeded to push my cart pass another shopper's cart that was about a foot or so too much past the half of the isle on my side. A slight collision finally woke up the zombie that was lost in cloud 9, for whatever he was looking and since the cart was touching the side of his fatass, he immediately looked at me and said, "excuse me?!" I said, "You're excused." He said "no, I mean how do you have the nerve to hit someone's cart without saying excuse me?" (I was not about to apologize, I had it with him also because he did this earlier at another isle, but he did so to a couple that was trying to get by) I told him, "Well same way you had the nerve to not give a crap about consideration of others around you and decided to hogg the isle, I do have very good nerves that allow for fast reflexes, would you care to make something of this & find out first hand?" He got the point, not smart at all on my part if I would have stayed in the store much longer the po' po 5-0 would've possibly been called, but hopefully I helped this guy have just a bit more consideration next time.
yep, yep, yep, same here. What about da fatties who always end up in front of u for everything
Try getting around them.
Ugggghhhhhhh !
AND.....if they're in front of u at the supermarket checkout with a HUGE ASS LOAD OF GROCERIES using their FOOD STAMP CARD
and then there's u....... ....the dumb hard-workin' fool spending your last fitty bucks til payday ! Sumsabitchez.
Damn, you aint kiddin sis'.... it always happens as if someone upstairs is ROTFLMAO watching down on us for entertainment purposes. Ok fine I take that back, maybe.
So, umm yea I could've not posted all this and just stated that you can easily see sheep everyday & this can all be summarized by stating that awakening in knowing who runs this world can also help one wake up in their real life awareness, but I felt like ranting a little, thanks for my therapy session GSus...now back to dumbville unfortunately.

I understand the door thing and don't have a problem with it. The way I see it, the fewer door handles you can touch, the better. I hate touching door handles.

Out of all the things mentioned, the only ones I really hate are the driving-related ones. When you've got a long commute in front of you (I go through the downtown of 4 different cities on my way home), you have very short patience for people moving slow and not getting with the program.

Yeah, I used to live in Ft.Worth TX but worked in Dallas about an hour commute but would have to cross several suburbs to get there, rush hour was understandably 1 1/2 hrs on daily basis, but due to some inconsiderate motorists it could take you twice as long to get home. But this nonsense happens where I'm currently at in a city that only has two suburbs, Im only 30mins away from work yet takes me almost as long as it did in Dallas, WTF!?

While I can be permabanned on GSUS by the mods for "misbehaving" on the boards, I am immune from any dick stabbings from GoD or anyone else for that matter.

I already got banned once for correctly calling the May smackdown of silver but I will try to behave myself while posting on the boards.
