I'm with you JJ GoldDot. Probably not for the same reason though. I'm not too enthusiastic about a national holiday celebrating consumption of sugar. And cementing it in peoples minds by making young kids show up at peoples doors where adults pay tribute to sugar by poisoning the kids with it. And most disconcerting of all, everybody is all so happy about it.
Sugar. Why not alcohol? At least you'd get a buzz. Maybe we wouldn't have such an epidemic of diabetes. For everyone telling me to eat less sugar, there are a dozen voices telling me to consume their delicious products that are loaded with sugar. I'm sure sugar sales spike in the week prior to Halloween. I feel fortunate I never had a sweet tooth. Maybe it's because my parents kept me home on Halloween till I was 12 or so. Nevertheless, I would speculate that getting rid of Halloween would result in a 50% improvement of the nation's health. So, I'm with you JJ GolDdot Hatha |
