You approach two talking [presidential candidates]. One [candidate]leads to the City of Truth, while the other [candidate] leads to the City of Liars. You do not know which [candidate] is which. You are able to ask only one question to determine which [candidate]is which. The [candidate]that leads to the City of Liars always speaks lies, while the [candidate]that leads to the City of Truth always speaks the truth. You want to go to the City of Truth. What question do you ask to determine which [candidate] leads to the City of Truth

Answer(1): Ask a a [candidate]- "If I were to ask the other [candidate] which [candidate]leads to the city of truth, what would he say". And then you pick the opposite [candidate]of what he tells you.
Answer(2): Ask the [candidate]- "If I asked you which [candidate]leads to the city of truth before, which [candidate]would you have told me?" (negative and negative = positive, positive and positive = positive). and you choose the [candidate]that it directs you to. Answer(3): Ask a a [candidate]- "Do both [candidate]lead to the city of truth?" If the answer is no, it's the truth [candidate]. if the answer is yes, it's the liars' [candidate]. |
