Whatcha reading?
We have a music thread, a film thread, but I don't think we have a book thread yet...

I'm reading Neil Gaiman's Fragile Things. I like Gaiman a lot.

But, I saw this interesting book today which I avoided buying, but I wondered if anyone here has read it. It's called Darwin's Garden and it's about the house he lived in 5 years after he returned from his voyages and about the experiments he did involving evolution in his own garden. I thought it sounded really good.

I think there was a documentary about Darwin's garden recently on BBC, but there's been so many Darwin programmes that it's hard to remember one from the other now.

This book has been getting very good reviews recently so I've it on my wish list

Incidentally, right now I'm reading Steve Jones's Coral: A Pessimist in Paradise.

I am currently re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. What can I say? My ex-girlfriend got me hooked on this series.

I am half way thru this book from the local library:
THE AUTOIMMUNE EPIDEMIC by Donna Jackson Nakazawa
I believe the information in this book is handy for our survival in modern time.

Currently reading The Big Necessity (about sewers, sanitation, and ...ummm.....doody........amazingly good!) by Rose George....just finished The Other Side of Desire (about perverts...oops! I mean paraphilia.....) by Daniel Bergner ,one of the most fascinating books I've read in months......before that, I read Stories Done (essays about cultural figures of the 60's and 70's) by Mikal Gilmore (Gary's brother......) also a great read. Take care, Eric

Just finished "For The Sake of Elena" by Elizabeth George. Good writer and series, in my opinion, if you like mystery. I've read most of George's books now.
