Default goofy gerberas
I mentioned in a post about my yellow phal deliciosa that it looked like the plant was gathering in the middle and splitting in half. At work we often have gerbera flowers that do the same thing and this summer the varieties we've had have been doing this quite often so I decided to get some pictures of it. I don't know if this is common with gerberas, or just the varieties we have been growing...

one of the first that I have seen that is actually trying to split into three flowers

closeup of a typical stem that is gathering but won't completely divide like the flowers

I actually thought that this one was growling at me!
