As the year comes to an end, we all tend to reflect and make resolutions for the upcoming year. I have never been one to make resolutions, I am don't like making promises that I can't keep. So I like to focus on the things that went well for me.
For the newbies this is an opportunity for you to find a sliver of hope to hold on to. I am almost 3 years out from d-day. It does get better. I doesn't look like it in when you are in the middle of the roller coaster ride. 1)My son graduated with his degree in mechanics and has enrolled to get a business degree to open his own shop 2)My daughter had a tough year (still post A fallout) but she seems to have come out the other side 3)The kids are closer than they have ever been. There is a 6 year age difference so her brother has always been protective, but now they hang out. 4) God continues to show me the right path and he forgives me when I fall off that path(which I have done more times than I care to admit this past year) 5) I have been on this site since right after d-day. Chaser and Tijaco have been here to keep me going through thick and thin. They have become a part of my extended family. 6) I am closer (though moving really slowly for my taste ![]() 7) My mental health has been more stable and the blood pressure is under control (along with the weight). 8) I am more involved with the youth at the church and I love it. They make me feel young and they are comfortable with me. Your turn. Find something you can hold on too. |

1. My beautiful 3 week old baby boy who is healthy and happy.
+ 2. My 4 other children who may have hard times are happy and healthy. + 3. My growing a backbone and loving myself enough to stop chasing a loser. + 4. The baby weight not only being gone in 3 weeks being able to button a pair of size 6 jeans and be able to breathe. + 5. Being in our home one more night, and tomorrow too. Everyday here is a blessing. + 6. My family and friends who love me enough to be strong for me, weak with me, help hold me up, and help me with the kids. And now I am almost always able to do it all on my own, with a giant smile. + 7. Myself, and the fact that I now love me. + 8. My church, my faith, and my beliefs. + 9. This forum. What a blessing, sometimes led with a gentle hand back to the right path, sometimes kicked to it! Thank you. + In 2010 if I am blessed enough to add to this list, even 1 thing I will be such a lucky person. |

*Three great kids and their great spouses who have been so caring throughout this ordeal these past two years.
*A job where I actually like the people I work with! *The sense of peace I have at times now... *That I'm not too financially strapped these days--the car is holding up, nothing major breaking down in the house--the fact that I can stay in the house. *My dog! *A great therapist that has helped me through all this along with this great forum SIS |

I rekindled my relationship with my best friend.
I have a deeper relationship with my mom, although she still is wary of my husband, she's still fully supportive of what I do. My family looks at me with a new pair of eyes; seeing the strong person I've been hiding all these years. I see myself with a new pair of eyes; I wondered where that young girl that packed up a U-Haul just after she turned 21 and moved over 600 miles to follow her heart went. I finally found a job after spending most of the year looking. My husband is a changed man, and although I'm wary and am keeping my ducks in a row, I know things are getting better for me and him. I know now I'm strong enough to handle whatever comes my way, even if sometimes I have to lock myself in the bathroom and cry first. My brother married this past year, and I'm going to be an aunt at the end of April. My brother graduated Basic Law Enforcement Training and is a police officer. |

I'm thankful to Almighty God, the Creator of heaven and earth for continuing to pull me along to peace and life and forgiving me when I fall short which is alot of the time.
I'm grateful that my children are healthy and happy. I'm thankful everyday that I still have my mom and dad. I am thankful for my dog. He is smart and protective and is my little boy's constant companion. He makes him laugh everyday. I am thankful for our servicemen and women all over this earth wherever they may be. I'm so thankful to be an American. I love my country and her people. Last but not least I am thankful for my friends here on chatcheaters. We've been through alot together over the years and I am honored to have spent part of my life with you. |
