New members having trouble posting - DiscussWorldIssues - Socio-Economic Religion and Political Uncensored Debate

I've had several new people trying to post here contact me on another site.
They said they tried to join, but had not received the email that allows them to post.
I guess registration has changed since I joined here. I don't remember anything about emails. I guess this was added to help with the spam.
How long did it take anyone to get the email?
