This link will give you an idea of the ubiquitous nature of brass band music here. It's the Myspace page for the Free Agents Brass Band (a friend of mines husband plays trombone).

Click on the track labelled "Free Agents Commercial" and then imagine driving in your car and having that come on the radio. It cracks me up everytime I hear it.
