Toyota Exec: Realistic Video Games Make Cars Unnecessary
And Toyota execs keep the BS flowing. Just when i thought that the abysmal comparison of a new sports car to a Japanese monkey's ass was bad enough, now the blame video games for the lack of interest in real cars ![]() |

Maybe there is a minuscule amount of truth to it. Cars are necessary, games are not. But necessity is the excuse for why we spend so much on cars. In reality, we just want a cool toy. We don't NEED 300hp when 200hp is adequate.
So, he may have a case for people spending less on cars and more on video games, but to say that video games can replace cars is crazy. |

Not sure in your area mate but where i live cars are an honest necessity even though i do see your point. Yet again, if you are sitting on your sofa playing GT 5 or Forza 3 you would probably feel the urge to go out and buy a really cool, sporty car and trade in your 10 year old Borolla (just saying) than just think "oh well, who needs real cars when i can have a controller"

yea they certainly are a necessity where I live too. I don't even have public transportation and most of my friends live 40 miles away from me.
Maybe one sentence came out wrong. I think it can all be traced back to the poor economy. I don't think anybody would rather have a video console over a sports car. |
