Default Joels Installs, FTW
as most of us have seen the thread on srt4eh's allegations against joel, make sure u read both parts, both sides have points that need to be taken into consideration. as far as im concerned, i was also overseas and asked joel to do some work for me, we agreed to do the stage 2 and tein coilovers for 300 dollars, my car was taken to joel and my parents had the money right than and there, my mom not knowing which parts where wastegates, injectors, etc...brought everything i had bought besides vinyls and headlights for the last 6 months to joel, he installed everything, the right way, why? because joel KNOWS WHAT HES DOING,so as long as ur willing to pay some money for a quality product and his work, you'll be just fine. i was so stunned that joel had done all that work that he never even agreed to do that i actually ended up giving him more money, almost near 400, he saved me an entire day of installs and fidgeting around under my hood while i was home, and for that, i had an entire day to just relax when home on leave from iraq and not stress about my car cause it ran well and with no leaks, no oil, no boost, no nothing. this post is not to start sides or arguements, simply to put out there that joels installs is still one of my most trusted ways to go if i ever want good job done on things im not knowledgable or comfortable with, also for quality work done for low prices. this is more or less a petition for good work that joel has done and car was very well taken care of. thats all i have.

I agree, Joel does good work for the price. He did my O2 housing, exhaust, fuel pump, return line kit, wideband, Neo, and motor mounts.

Yeah there were hiccups along the way, but anyone that has worked on a car should expect this. When I went down he work on my car from about 8am until 3:30 am the next day (obviously with shit/piss breaks, food, and bullshitting to break up the monotony). Joel didn't complain once during this time, even though we were both clearly exhausted by time the car was ready and I could leave.

Even when errors were recognized (rubber grommet on stock regulator was not put back on causing pressure issues) Joel manned up and took responsibility fixing it with no questions and apologized.

Anything I could complain about I wouldn't even mention as it's trivial shit (wiring on my Neo, I forgot to bring wire, Joel had to improvise... Not the prettiest work, but it was about 2am when we started and you know what...he got the shit done and it works. That's that counts, right?)

Anyway, I am sorry a certain member here feels he got screwed. Shit happens. I'm sure it was never Joel's intention to not meet your standards/expectations. I have a feeling that for every complaint like this there will be 10 people that have good things to say....

There is currently no shop -- it is my house. PM me for an address if you are looking to drop off the transmission.

I would have no problems taking a look at the transmission if it is out of the car already. If you need it pulled and cannot do it yourself, I would strongly reccomend Joel (spindler27), as he definitely does know what he is doing.

Could you shoot me a PM with your problems you are having with the transmission, and I can get a better idea as what parts will potentially require replacement and can give you an effective quote. Be sure to include the year of the transmission/vehicle, and if there are currently any modifications done to it.

Thanks,
