I'm kinda...................no, I'm totally against PETA.
In my eyes the members of PETA go against nature, which they seem to think they are protecting. There is a food chain and always will be so trying to prevent nature from taking its natural course is wrong. For instance, a shark will eat a seal for food, a seal will eat a penguin for food, and a penguin will eat fish for food. This kind of step-down food chain happens with ALL creatures. Honestly though, if we as humans didnt eat Cows,Pigs,Deer,etc.... those creatures would have little to no use on this planet except to be eaten by other animals and birds(in other words they would still be eaten). We as humans didnt choose to be the "Top Dog" of the food chain.........evolution put us there and its our right to enjoy it. In closing ![]() Have fun with the paper Greg, I'm sure it'll be a fun debate in class with possibly even a little bloodshed :P |

couple DID YOU KNOW's about PeTA....
Peta euthanizes around 80% of the animals it takes into its shelter. This is terrible, when in contrast, another veteranary clinic 4 miles from peta sucessfully gives up about 80% of taken in pets for adoption. They blame this on no space or funding to house the animals, citing that "sometimes, putting an animal to sleep forever is the most humane treatment it can recieve". ironic, since PeTA's annual revenue is well over 20 million, they cant afford to build another shelter? PeTA was investigated by the FBI and was sucessfully linked to the radical extremest group the Animal Liberation Front, notoriious for bombing a michigan state laboatory that engaged in animal testing. The FBI considers the ALF a "domestic terrorist" threat, and PeTA's public records show funds going to the main person responsible for the firebombings of the MSU Lab that same year ( believe) totalling around $70,000. In short, they directly FUND DOMESTIC TERRORISM. PeTA equates animal treatment and suffering to the Suffering incurred by the slaves of the 1800's, saying that "slavery is not over". PeTA's goal is TOTAL animal liberation. they state that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, abuse in any way, or use for entertainment purposes. They have gone on record stating that even if a cure for AIDS or Cancer would be known to be found by animal testing, they would still be against it. They also are against seeing eye dogs, but the ironic thing is that one of PeTA's top executives is diabetic, needing insulin developed through animal testing, and is a direct product of animals. She has gone on record stating she does not think herself a hypocrite, because she needs her life in order to help the cause, and without insulin, she would die. p.s. doing all of this research on PeTA is so annoying, because of all the FALSE sensationalism p.p.s. Ironically, working in the meat department at woodmans, for the first time, we found PeTA flyers in our meet displays. One was against KFC's chicken (so why were the flyers in our woodmans store?) and the other was part of PeTA's new campain "Meat's not green" stating that cows produce more greenhouse gasses than most modes of transportation combined. (but, the truth is that if we dont eat the cows, that doesn't mean they will stop farting...) p.p.p.s. Meat is supposedly proved by PeTA to be bad for your health, but certain tribes eating ONLY meats have almost zero cases of heart disease, PeTA's biggest scare tactic about meat. They say switching to a vegan diet will lighten your skin and make you glow, but really, malnutrition's number one symptom is pale skin. enough for now. Discuss! |

I think it's funny when people are "vegetarians" but they still eat fish. You can't get the protein and other things that your body needs just eating plants. People are supposed to eat meat, and have been since the dawn of time. I agree that animals shouldn't be in a circus or have products tested on them, but food wise it's just nature. I'm going to go finish cooking my burgers now

from a health standpoint meat is mandatory, ever notice how vegetarians and vegans are weak, always feeling sick and always even appear sick? its because theyre lacking protein and many othe essential nutrients that are found in high doses in meat, with most cuts of any meat barring deepfrying etc meat is low in calories i n fat and extremely high in protein, protein is essential to muscle growth, i take in 300-400 grams a day! peta and all its members can go die in a fucking fire! and i mean that

The best part of PETA. PETA is one of the most hypocritical groups of people out there. They do more damage than good. They don't really know the truth of the natural order of life. If we("normal" people) didn't take care of animals and the population, it would get so out of hand, that people would start getting killed/hurt due to the overpopulation of animals. Animals would start to die off for the same reason. |

It's nice to see so many comments against PETA, I guess Wisconsin is one of those states where common sense isnt forgotten.......cant say the same for the rest of the country ![]() |

Oh, and don't forget about rampant diseases that spread within herd common spaces..oh and fuck evolution of those same diseases right.....Jesus rules everything and prevents bad stuff from happening. CWD anyone? Calm down its only peta, and theres no need to bring Jesus into this or any fictional character for that matter. ![]() Oh no, I think I may have pissed someone off with that comment ![]() |

Nobody pissed me off. Just saying that the same retards that follow the PETA/ELF BS, normally follow Jeebus pretty friggin close and therefore evolution is right out. I actually want some of those "Jeebus " followers to ring my door bell so I can let them in and educate them.......the funny part is when I'm through with them they'll be the ones trying to get out of my house instead of trying to get in ![]() ![]() |

This was a commercial that was supposed to air during this upcoming Super Bowl. Like mentioned before, this is the only good thing about PETA. In regards to Jesus, I'm a believer, but am not going to get into that argument for a second. Lutherans don't knock on doors though. I don't agree with that myself.
