Default I got a problem
So for my birthday, I got a mac, which I am really happy about. But does anyone know an easy way to scan on this thing? It's an OS X and I have no idea how to scan, I have an HP psc 2410xi photosmart all-in-one. Thanks in advance =)

oh right, scan images from your printer/scaner (Like a drawing) and make it become a file on the computer (mac) So you can post it on sites (CSS).

did you hook up the scanner? I would guess that just like in windows, OS X should install drivers to allow the scanner to function be detected everytime you use it.

You might have to use some program like photoshop to acquire the image from the scanner. Did some software come with the scanner to install on the operating system?

Oh man, I don't know, the scanner is about 4 years old, and I don't know if it came with anything. The computer does pick it up as a printer, but I don't know If I need some type of program or a different printer/ scaner to get the scan on the computer.

Hey thanks JBlair, I'll see if that works out, still getting used to the switch over from a PC.

Would you happen to know why the HP Scan Pro program is unresponsive? Any ideas?

I'm really surprised it wasn't as simple as plug and play. I have to get a new scanner. Mine is from the mid 90's and is hooked to a Windows 98 laptop--the only PC I've ever owned that was not a nightmare which is why I keep soldiering on with it as my scan platform. My wife thinks I'm a nut.

Of course, she's right
