Default College
Well high school is coming to an end for me in June and as of November 16th, I've applied to all of my colleges.
Choices:

Good match- CUNY Baruch--- New York
Reach- Bentley College--- Massachusetts
Good match- East Stroudsburg University- Pennsylvania
Safety- Kean University- New Jersey
Good match- Monmouth University- New Jersey
Safety- Johnson & Wales- Rhode Island
Good Match- Penn State Harrisburg- Pennsylvania

So far I've heard back from East Stroudsburg & Penn State and have been accepted to both.
The only others I really care about are Baruch & Bentley. In the long run it will be between Penn State & Baruch, if I'm accepted.

Penn State is 3 Hours away from me and wouldn't do too much damage to my car's lease because its something like 300 miles for a round trip.
With Baruch, I wouldn't even need my car since its in the city and would probably sell my lease and just share a car with my dad when i come home, he will be getting a new car around the same time I leave for college.

I'm going to visit East Stroudsburg on Saturday with a friend to check it out and plan to visit Penn State after January Midterms in school with my dad.

Awesomeness! Have fun at college. Just make sure you choose a school that feels right for you and disregard what everyone else says about colleges. You're choosing a place for yourself, not for others.

Consider California too. Depending on what you're after USC, Pepperdine, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, UCLA, Stanford, among others could be great choices. Yeah it's on the opposite coast from your choices, but you might just enjoy striking out on a new trail.

If I may be so bold, why all the small schools? I see no schools big enough to have a division 1A football team in that list.

I want to major in business marketing and minor in business management.

all of those schools offer business and I don't want to go more than 3 to 5 hours away from home (a long drive, nothing more)

The size of the school isnt much of a concern to me im just looking for colleges that look appealing to me.
i believe the biggest one on my list is psu harrisburg

on a side note i got into johnson & wales today with a scholarship for $3,500 a year which barely helps because with room & board, books, etc everything will still cost about $27,000

Not to hijack your thread or anything, but these are the colleges I'm applying to:

Bates
Bowdoin
Colgate
Hamilton
Hobart & Williams Smith
Middlebury
State University of New York - Albany

I'm planning to double major in Chinese and International Relations with a minor in teaching.

Let me tell you, I am not ready to pay for it, thats for sure!

Don't do Kean because my friend goes there mainly because he didn't get into Rutgers NB and he hates it. I remember there was a thread on this last year and I ended up far from my first choice( Johns Hopkins University) but ended up at a great college with a full ride ( Drexel University). So don't sweat it too much and just find a place where you think will be a good place for you rather than something that is ranked better.

Nice to see I'm not the only one here going through the hell of college apps.... nice job getting accepted already!

Here are the places I'm applying to (I only have the BU and Whitman apps to finish). I hella want to get out of California haha.

UC Berkeley
UC San Diego
UC Riverside
UC Davis
Lewis and Clark College- Portland, OR
University of Oregon
Whitman College- Walla Walla, Washington
University of Puget Sound- Tacoma, WA
University of Washington- Seattle
American University- D.C
Boston University
Northeastern University
McGill University- Montreal

My reach school is definitely McGill, I'll go there in a heartbeat if I'm accepted. And if I get into Northeastern's international business program then I'll definitely be happy as well haha. I'm just thankful to be done with SATs and ACTs right now and the majority of my college apps.

Haha And yet you've got 4 UCs on your list. XD

If you end up going to UCSD, then that's 3 CSS-ers. >D hehe

I'm in Sixth. Muir's really competitive, though, and no one knows anything about Marshall besides the people in Marshall lol. knihc2008's in Revelle, IIRC.
