More like san-TE-nyo (the e and the o sounds being flat - or rather the alternate sound to the the more common english pronunciation). Still, the name has evolved here so the CSS username is now pronounced san-TEE-no (with the regular english vowel sounds). |

SV100 is named after a made-up car i've been drawing for years, for my made up brand which some of you have heard of (montgomery). SV stands for "sport vehicle" and the 100 was supposed to mean it was the first in a series of SVs. the original plan (back when i was 7 or 8; i'd never do something like this today) was to have a new SV every year, so there would have been an SV100, SV200, SV300 etc. what i wanted was for montgomery to have a naming system like lexus or mercedes. since i didn't know the numbers stood for displacement at the time, i just made up my own meaning for them; but in the end i never went with that 'new SV every year' plan anyway. i did, however, keep the name 'SV100' for the midsize montgomery sedan/hatch/wagon, even though nowadays the name doesn't really mean anything.
here's the current SV100 (the MkIV version, which came out in 2002, was facelifted for 2005 and is due for a redesign in 2008) if anyone cares to see: ![]() |

Ah, this thread again. It shows up about once a year; lives for a bit and then dissappears.
Mine is a reference to my family's ancestral home, a village named La Villa De Los Santos. People native to there are known as Santenos (the second N actually is supposed to have a ~ on top of it, and produces a sound like the french gn sound - the forum software won't take that letter and non romance language speaker have trouble pronouncing it, so I never bothered including it). |
