Default Happy Birthday Australia!
Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
Weve golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea;
Our land abounds in Natures gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In historys page, let every stage
Advance Australia fair!
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair!

Happy birthday to the nation of many cultures, of open minded people, of beautiful land and the home of freedom. All of this is what I am celebrating today in the birthday of a great nation (I dont say the best nation because Australia taught me that that would be racism). I celebrate today the birthday of my country, the one that is trully mine.
What are you celebrating today, in Australia day?

We generally have people over, and hang flags up all around the pool, then retire inside to watch the Cricket.
What do you have planned, Dan?
Happy AUstralia Day all.

Might be off bridge-fishing with my mates. Maybe rock up to a BBQ later on.
That's about it. I'm not really that hardcore on Australia Day.

Well I'm watching the "LOvE MY wAy," marathon. It's an Aussie drama series, and it is awesome! I might go lapping this afternoon is my friends dads Ford BA Falcon, but that's about as Australian I'll get today as I don't eat meat! LOL

Worked all day at the center of canberra selling drinks so I could see the celebration and get some bucks. I have two celebrations in one, Australia day (26) and Birthday (27) and I'm not doing much on either. But nationalism does stick out from time to time today and tomorrow I'll be unluckily 19 wich sucks LOL.
The reason for the lack of celebration is that Im not going through the best of times at the moment, but meh, been there done that, hopefully it'll be over soon.

Yes, Happy Birthday Australia. Its our Birthday soon as well (6th February)...Waitangi Day! YAY!!!! Hopefully there is some more mud-slinging, fighting and the usual "lets make New Zealand a Republic" speeches...it makes our birthday oh so exciting...Hurray for New Zealand! (By the way, I think the Australian national anthem is the most awful song...thing...ever written...but hey, im a new Zealander, im bound to think that!).
Also, I wouldn't really call Australia the "Home of Freedom"...just look at the Aboriginal culture and you will see what I mean...

I think Australia should change the flag and incorperate the Aborigional flag into it, and the national anthem needs to be changed to that "We are one," song....
