Default Most Obvious Product Placement!
Have any of you seen the Hallmark move for "Jane Doe Yes, I Remember it Well" ? You probably haven't, but its on the Hallmark channel right now, and it has the most obvious product placement I have EVER seen! The mother in the story drives a new Chrysler Pacifica Limited, the granmother a Crossfire SRT8, all the investigators drive black 300C's and Magnums, and every other key character drives a Chrysler product
The funniest part was when the mother thought she was being followed (it was her mother) and she told the police she was being followed by a Crossfire SRT8. It was just funny since the average person would only notice that its a Chrysler due to the badging on the front. And then she tells the cops to track her through her navagation system
Have you guys seen this movie, or are their any other movies TV shows where you can easily see automotive product placement?

How about Ford in 24? Cadillac in the Matrix Reloaded? Mazda had a big push in like ALL of NBC's prime time shows. And so on, and so on, and so on.
Yeah? And?
Product placement is pretty much the future of television advertising. Everyone can fast-forward through commercials now, so advertisers need to work in their products by alternate (if sometimes not so subtle) means. Get used to it.

Im sorry if it is a dumb topc I know that product placement is and always will be a part of television and movies, but if you saw this movie, you would completely get what I was tryin to say. At least its not extremley obvious when NBC does it.

The bulk of revenue in the media industry comes from advertising. Don't think these product placements come free of charge. I have not come across anything that is free, there is always some kind of catch - there are no selfless good deeds.

Audi in Transporter, where it's even on the cover and on the back of the DVD case.
iRobot too. There was nothing but Audi's on that movie and maybe one Bentley. It's just too obvious in Transporter2 cuz in Transporter1, the main character drove cars beside the 7er.
White Castle in ""Harold and Kumar go to White Castle"

Every film has a ford. And even James Bond, I mean dont tell me the Ford that this girl drove wasn't obvious. Obvious as!
But really, why does EVERY film HAVE to have a Ford? And the fact that Jeep replaced Land Rover in Tomb Raider is just laughable. I know who went jealous and offered more money...

I might actually watch 24 now! LOL. Yeah Cat In the Hat had awesome Ford Focuses and a Thunderbird too!
I recon it is smart and damn effective! Sometimes, like in Rappers film clips, it's a little too much...
