I really, really liked it! it wasn't too long, and there was always something happening. I liked it much better than the Lord of the Rings...i kinda was bored by the end of those films, and a lot of stuff couldhave been removed. And my god! Less scenery please!!!
....Anyway, yes, I thought it was good... |

Saw it last friday, got tired of studying so I went during the afternoon, lol.
All in all, I liked it, story was interesting, it needs with a nice surprise, which I didn't expect really. I am a sucker for myths and legends, so this was a nice take on it. I didn't read the book(s) but I am planning on for the hell of it. And yes it was long, longer than I expected. Disney did a good job with the storyline. |

I'll see the film when it comes out on cable. however I've read all the books as well. Only I read them a couple of years ago. The lion the witch and the wardrobe is pretty good, but I preffered prince caspian better. That said, I agree with paul. when I was reading the books, I was turned off by the barely veiled christian propaganda and, in some cases, the overtly racist anti-arab/indian/muslim descriptions (which are not in the lion the witch and the wradrobe mind you). They just didn't add much to the story and were not necessary in a childrens book.
Otherwise a fine read. |
