Default "The good shepherd"
does anyone know what the heck it is? I know it's a film that's currently being made, but does anyone know anything more about it?
Because today, in the road right next to my universtiy (kings college london) the whole road is full of trucks, and i saw them put up all these props, like a sign for some lawyers. They're using the disused Aldywych tube station, and they've put sandbags around it along with these signs about bomb shelters.
I have to say I've never been interested in hollywood really, but I had this huge kick out of walking straight through the set. They've put cameras on this pavement running up to the station entrance, so it looks like they're gonna do a scene where they walk/run up the pavement into the station. They had all they're extra lighting fixed above the pavement, so the set was ready when i walked through it at 6pm.
It's so cool to think that where i've just walked, there's gonna be Hollywood actors/actresses going up the same pavement.
i guess it's a film about london during world war II, can't think of any other reason why they'd be using a tube station as a bomb shelter. Who's gonna star in it, anyone know?

Ooh, cool! i went this morning and most of the props been taken down, there were just a few trucks left. Filming's finished I'm afraid, feels a little sad. Wish I could've stayed a little longer. Aah, my brush with hollywood over...

It'll be quite nice when the film comes out, it'll be interesting to see how the place looks on screen, because it was dark they had a huge floodlight erected there and loads of extra lighting.

Not certain but I believe the CIA was just getting coordinated on a more formalized basis around the WWII period [if the IMDB description is correct].
EDIT:
here is a short synopsis of the film:
Quote »A CIA agent during the cold war gradually loses his soul and ultimately authorizes the death of his own son to cover CIA involvement in the Bay of Pigs.
Matt Damon is the perfect actor to play this role and many other thrillers in the area of war, spy, intellingence, etc...he was outstanding in both of the Bourne films, and I'm anticipating the third one to be just as good as the first two, which they are filming as we speak.

Filming on campus is cool until you have to live with it everyday. The sad reality of going to school in L.A.
