I didn't get his age, he looked a bit younger than me, maybe a year or two out of college. Definately single I'd say, a lot of my suicidal tendencies disappeared once I got a girl.
It was remarkably un-spectacular, none of the cars were totalled but the Mustang hit one of the other two cars pretty much head on, but not going very fast. he just left a thin black line as he swung too wide through the curve, he was sitting on the brakes for about the last two second of his flight. I'll sketch it out on paint to give you an idea of what it looked like |

I never been in a big car crash, never been fined, never nothing big.
However, on July 24 2004, I was driving my Land Rover down the road when a lady came to the intersection of a street that finished on the road I was travelling in. I saw her not looking, so I braked, I blew My horn, I moved to the right fully, but she didn't look before going out into my space even though I had right of way. She slammed into my driver's door twisting my aluminium bodywork. Damage to my car was: dented door, dented lower side panel (both yet have to be changed) and a long scratch from the driver's door to the rear wheel. And I was very pissed off. First crash to the perfect looking wonderfully conserved car in 35 years. Damage to her car was: one headlight broken, grill, bumper flew off (even though it was metallic), bonnet dented, front right wing dented, large green scratch all over the right wing. She didn't pay. I'm the "teenager" so however I drive, It's my fault. Nothing to do. Even if I NEVER speed. |

Quote, originally posted by knicks125 »since i drive pretty much the same way to and from work, i figured out where the troopers usually park and spot people, generally i slow down a bit when enter those "zones"
![]() yaa . . . I would try that, but every 100 yards there is an ideal place for a cop to hide. If I slowed down at each place where they might be, I'd be driving the speed limit the whole way, and we don't want that. It's basically a canyon drive / toll road with never any traffic. Like you drive up and down mountains the whole way and they like to hide at the top of the mountain or the bottom or around one of the many turns, no way to predict their hiding spots, too many equally good options As for the audi picture two posts up: hahaha, take that audi! great picture |

Lessee, I've wtnessed a few accidents. I saw a chain reaction accident (car hit a car, which hit the car in front of it, whoichhit the car in front of it, etc.) there were five cars in that crash, but it appeared minor. I've seen a Ford Bronco lose its wheel assembly and flip, Seen more than enough people spin out on the freeway.
Much Like Zwie's story, we were driving down the Central Valley in California when we were passed by a black sports car. i was a kid at the time. The car was hauling, probably 110 or more, weaving, with two teenagers inside (so my Mom says). About a half hour later the traffic backed up for 15 minutes, the cause of the backup: black debris spread across the freeway, rescue vehicles, and two white sheets covering lumps on the road. Drive carefully folks! Another one which I stayed for and filled out a report was sitting at a red light, the first car at the intersection, when an ambulance started coming from the direction opposite me. Now, I don't know about where you are, but here in SD when a rescue vehicle comes through all the lights turn red except the direction the rescue vehicle is traveling, only that set of lights will turn green so everyone can clear out of the way. So the cross street's light changes quicly to yellow, then red. now, (sounding familiar? Brace yourself, it's another Ford too!) a Gray Ford Taurus trying to beat the yellow light (ahem, I rest my case) with a man about 40 in the driver's seat, runs the red light and smacks squarly into the side of the ambulance. Moral: DON'T RACE THE YELLOW LIGHT!!! |
