Actually I don't think you did, as "Split" can mean many things, i.e. "to prise apart", but it can also mean "to tell on someone", as in "the boy split on his brother for breaking the window".

Now, do you get the joke ??

No, we totally got it. Split is phrase used in the US too when you cut and run. We also get the other side of it. Got the pun.

It was just Creeeeeeeppyyyyy. A little too over the top.

There was some sarcasm in my post, I should have spelled Creepy the same way as I did just now, would have been more obvious.
