Nothing changed here, how do you see the new version?

Screenshots anyone?

I already said it looks the same to me but no one seems interested in enlightening me as to how it's "different".

A tiny link appeared in the bottom right hand corner to switch to the new look. It looks ok, what i dont like is how sluggish it seems to run (scrolling mostly)

Otherwise looks fine.

Yeah it really isn't all that different, some labels have been replaced with icons on the top, a little more streamlined. Any sort of change is annoying at first, then we just get used to it though.

As long as e-mail remains as e-mail, and doesn't turn into something like Facebook messages.

Looks like design and usability took 10 years' worth of steps back in time. [thumbdown]

I'm noticing a distinct lack of gridlines and symmetrical structure in a lot of modern UI's and sites, this new style of laying stuff out on a screen in a slap dash manner is pretty **** indeed.

Just looks childish to me, it's like console-ification of how we are supposed to interact with computers.

I only use Gmail for e-mails, and now the inbox is a strain on my eyes. I sent them some feedback. I hope something gets tweaked a bit, because I've cycled through the themes and nothing helps. Specifically, it seems like there's almost no contrast between 'read' and 'unread.'
