In practice that thing carries only one tool remotely useful.

A Discussion Opener. [yes]

I tend to value the smaller ones more, i purchased a small victorinox branded swiss army knife in tenerife last week. Any tools i need from the larger swiss army knifes i find it better to have the full sized tools for the job.

At over $2k and over 8 inches wide, you'd need deep pockets in more ways than one...

Why? Just why? How could you even possibly use the screwdriver tips, among other things? Unless they detach or something...

Because they can?

I remember back in the day when I was in Scouts, and they kept adding more and more tools to the Swiss Army Knives and we looked on in awe! [thumbup]

Because it's a display only piece and doesn't even come sharpened.
