Things being done in a different way can be confusing and annoying, but that's just because we get used to doing certain things. Someone going the other way would feel the same.

Don't be so melodramatic. I simply expressed an opinion that the US system is not how I think the system should operate. But apparently that offends some people.........

Well... Hasn't this place always been like that? (apart from the good old days)

You either get accused of being "too strict" if you appear to be over moderating, or accused of being useless or that the moderator team are lax.

Two choices - 1) Be a tattletale as 'epking' put it to me many years ago, use the report post if something is wrong. Let the moderators / admin decide what to do.

or the better option

2) Ignore the "idiots" & hope that they get banned all by themselves. Granted if users didn't go out of their way to annoy other people then the red mist wouldn't appear leading to a more mature discussion board. (We sort of had this years ago with MadOnion, and we could still have a laugh along with serious discussions - well except for religion and politics back then).

After having a couple of long holidays from here, and using other boards for discussions that I would have had here, I've come to the conclusion that this is still a good board, but could be a hell of a lot better if some of the userbase either grew up or actually contributed properly to a discussion rather than trying to score points off one another..

After having a couple of long holidays from here, and using other boards for discussions that I would have had here, I've come to the conclusion that this is still a good board, but could be a hell of a lot better if some of the userbase either grew up or actually contributed properly to a discussion rather than trying to score points off one another..

This is too true.

Guys keep it civilised and stop with the name calling I have no idea what just happened here, but it ends now.
