Horrible. Neil Patrick Harris doesn't even come close to looking heterosexual.

No. I'm complaining about all CGI. I prefer the look of mattes and models as it displays more artistry and ingenuity. I can appreciate the technical work that went into CGI-laden movies like Avatar or Jurassic Park, but they do not have the artistic depth of Blade Runner or 2001. Ditto with animation: Pixar films apear only superficially beautiful until you compare them to most hand-drawn animation, especially to the animated work of independent auteurs. Whether CGI looks real or fake doesn't make a difference.
Seriously? Pixar is the studio that made a trash can with nothing but eyebrows express a full range of human emotions. Their films are full of real emotions, unlike 99% of the **** that comes out these days. And even purely aesthetically you can't knock them either, unless you're totally blind. I went to the Pixar exhibit at the MoMa, and I have to tell you that the people at Pixar are amazingly talented artists.

How do you know he "****ed" it up when it hasn't even been released yet....?

Also it's not a remake.

Godamm reboots and remakes, what is up with originality in Hollywood? I really miss the 80's even if half of it was popcorn bull, there was still some really original ideas.

BR is my favorite movie (have the collectors edition bluray case, a replica of Deckard's blaster with working LED's, was actually collecting functional pieces of the actual firearms used to make the movie prop at one point so I could build an actual firing gun). Just hope Scott hasn't lost what makes the original movie so special. It's the environment and depth of characters, not just effects...

Exactly, the FX is used as a tool to tell the story, not a case of the story being an excuse for FX - if you get what I mean?

If it is to be remade, can't we just be relaxed in knowing that the best man for the job is at the helm? It's not like we're looking at Blade Runner (2012), starring John Cena, directed by McG.
