And on top of that you surely would need forged insides for the engine, meaning a full rebuild basically.

Definately not cheap. I know as I'm doing something like that atm [thumbup]
Definitely not cheap . Plus also if I were to do a project like that, I would want to do most of what I can myself, so I would need the space and the tools. Much like this guy:

the 1.8T is really popular around here because it is easier to get a decent amount of power out of it then the VR6 mostly due to the chips from companies like APR

but if you really want to go big a VR6T is not to be messed with lol, friend of mine has a turbo vr6 golf and its just insane Ah of course the R32 yes and of course it has a 3.2 litre VR6 instead of my lowly 2.8
