Any of you guys try a moto atrix 4g yet? I'm sticking to unlocked, no contract because I'm grandfathered in to AT&T's unlimited data for $15/mo and it's one of the few that has the proper frequency for 3/4G.

I love my desire to death but am ready to move on to faster speeds than edge and it's onboard storage has become too limited.

I have the Optimus 2X and love it. However, I got it a month ago, the Galaxy S2 isn't available yet for me so it wasn't an option. If it were, I'd go with that one instead.

It would walk all over it from what I've seen, the SGS II's GPU is pretty much comparable to the Tegra 2.

The sad thing is, I've not seen anything really push my Nexus S's SGX540 so far (Dungeon Defenders is probably the only one tbh). Someone really needs to take advantage of all this hardware.

My Blade has an AdrenLoL 200 and a 600MHz (overclocked to a mighty 691Mhz!) MSM7227. Think of how that feels. [rofl]

MSM7227 is spec'd at 800MHz. it's the same chip in the SG Ace and the SE X8/X10mini

the SG Ace runs it at 800. i'm running it at 780 on my x10mini with no vmods sure it has a toll on the battery but it doesn't overheat. there's a LG phone too which someone over at xda managed to do 850 with the same chip

I have stability issues at 710MHz (or higher I presume). It's not my primary phone so it does for me!

Those benchmarks were done by Anandtech on the pre-release version, even before they increased the CPU speed to 1.2GHz.

Benchmarks from retail units are faster than tegra 2 by a nice margin, earlier benchmarks on another device that also used Mali 400MP shows comparable performance to SGX543MP2 so the performance is there.

Anandtech need to re-test, sometimes being first doesnt give you accurate results.

If the Galaxy S2 had a slide out keyboard, I'd regret getting my Droid 2 Global, but a physical keyboard's more important to me than pure processing power in a phone.

May as well update: requested my PAC number from Vodafone who called me back 5 mins after I'd hung up with them. Long story boring, got offered a Samsung Galaxy S2, Unlimited texts, 300 mins, interwebz, £20. TBH I took it due to being sick of phone shopping, but from what I've read in this thread it wasn't a bad choice.

Any "must have" apps I should look into? Arrives on the 17th.
