There will be some of you that have already seen this this, it's not exactly new news. I was looking at the Gran Turismo 5 photo thread I was wondering what this fancy looking Redbull car is available in the game. For F1 fans that don't know of this cars virtual existence in the game, it's quite interesting to see an F1 teams concept of an F1 car if it were not bound by the sports technical regulations, using technologies we know that can be applied to an F1 car that are now banned and simulating how fast such a car would be realistically achievable in real life. If only they would build such a car! |

Is it faster than the 3000GT with all upgrades in Gran Turismo 2? I think not. Plus there's no track that has a corner this car can't take @ ~150 mph. It's crazy... ![]() ![]() Most of the time I just try to avoid touching the gas because the corners come too fast. |

That track isn't in GT2 so there's no direct comparison. A massive flaw in GT2 meant that the 3000GT could do 500kph when fully tuned, hence the question. |

Yes, those 6 wheelers dominated the championship. Oh wait... But, the main point is 4WD (if 4 at the back), more rubber in contact with the road, more grip, and two extra discs, more braking. You could also do clever things with the diff to get them to turn in faster also, especially if you add in traction control, active suspension and more modern technology, it could definitely be an advantage. Heck, 8 wheels would be even better. |
