370 sq feet (including bathroom and the sole closet) is about the size of a "spacious" studio in the east village.

Humour is often at someone's expense, to be fair if the guy was so tight for time he wouldn't have kept replying as he did. Did you read it through though? I thought it was pretty amusing at least...

No, the reason it's funny is because it's so close to the truth - only the 'pool' would be there because the mad old woman in the apartment above leaves her bath running all night, or something.

It's not funny because it's not believable. Nobody with a $2,000 monthly rent budget is going to be thick enough to entertain the idea that the whole apartment is a pool.

Yes because everyone with that has at least a certain amount of money has brains, Paris Hilton is a prime example.

If it had a bathroom, I'd go for it. Sleeping on a raft would rock

Obviously not, but had you read the emails you would have noticed that they were quite articulate. Observation not a strong point for you?

Ok lets move the goalposts to articulation even though it's clearly not what your post first implied. You are correct, there is not a single known example in the whole wide world of any articulate person not having a dense moment, honest...

Ohhh, when you put it like that then I probably agree with you! I reckon a lot of these sort of things are probably made up for comical value...[yes]

Which comes back to my initial query - what is funny about ****ing around like that?
I know it amuses idiots, so if one of them could explain to the rest of us?

I personally didn't find it funny, but humour comes in various forms and appeals to different people you know. Just because you didnt find it funny doesnt mean it needs to be explained. Also as mentioned it probably is all made up, surely after seeing the floor plan you wouldn't continue wasting your time.

I can't stand Russell Brand but I understand that thicko's enjoy him because they haven't heard the vocabulary he uses in oh such a funny way before.

Different strokes for different folks. This could have been funny if believable.

Like I said if the thing is real (which there's a good chance it isn't), then the guy obviously wasn't short of time as he kept replying...it's not the potentially wasting someone's time part which I thought was funny.

You in a bad mood today Gordo?

Nah, it's partly because I do think it's stupid to go out of one's way just to annoy people* and partly to see what response I got from asking for an explanation**

*Which is why I believe killing prank phone callers and practical jokers to be justifiable homicide [thumbup]
**yes, I do realise there's a degree of contradiction there

Couldn't you have said that in the first place so as to not waste my time? I had an important meeting to attend to!
